Premature ejaculation is a problem affecting many men. And sometimes men who can go for long periods without ejaculating will find themselves ejaculating within a few minutes of penetration.
To be clear, you can only be diagnosed with PE if you ejaculate within one minute of penetration. If you go beyond four or five minutes, you’re likely normal like most other people out there. In fact, studies have shown that the time between vaginal penetration and male ejaculate is between 5 – 6 minutes.
If you fall below this time, don’t fret. There are steps you can take to delay your ejaculation and enjoy more time with your partner.
Kegels are one of the most effective exercises that can help delay ejaculation and make you last longer in bed. These exercises work on your pubococcygeal (PC) muscles of the pelvic floor. These muscles help control urine flow and also ejaculation.
To gain control of these muscles, try standing in front of a mirror and use your PC muscles to lift your testicles – like you’re trying to shorten your penis. After that, release your PC muscles.
Once you’re able to do this easily, tighten the muscles and hold for ten seconds, then release for another ten seconds.
The result of this exercise is effective ejaculatory control. So if you’re unable to control your ejaculation, exercising your PC muscles will help you take charge.
2. Thrust Slowly
A lot of women like it hard and so do most men, but that is the shortest road to ejaculating. The faster you thrust, the more sensation your build. The fast movement of her vagina walls on your penis will lead to increased stimulation and cause you to ejaculate faster.
Instead of rapid thrusts, start out with slower thrusts. Go in with 10 slow thrusts and then five fast thrusts. Alternating the thrust speed will help you last longer.
3. Focus on Other Activities
Instead of pounding away till you ejaculate, you can instead, pleasure other parts of her body. Taking a while to kiss her lips, neck, and back will not only give her more pleasure but help you last longer.
Also, you can choose to give her orgasm first before intercourse. This will make you feel less embarrassed about not lasting long.
4. Learn through Masturbation
Masturbation offers many benefits (when done in moderation), and one of them is delaying your orgasm. You can through masturbation learn how to last longer in bed. This practice is known as edging and it is one of the effective ways to take control of the bedroom.
All you need to do is bring yourself right to the edge of orgasm and stop all sexual activity until your excitement dies down. This technique rewires your brain and instead of letting go at all times, you can decide when you want to ejaculate.
5. Wear Condoms
There is a saying that raw sex is much better than using condoms and it definitely is true. For guys, condoms reduce the sensation of sex. If you’re struggling with premature ejaculation, you can use this to your advantage. By putting on a condom, you will not only protect yourself from STDs but last longer and prolong the pleasure for you and your partner.
6. Masturbate Before Sex
As most men know, the second round is usually longer than the first. When you’ve been off sex for a while, you tend to reach orgasm faster.
To combat this, you can simply masturbate beforehand. Right before you meet with your partner, you should make sure you achieve orgasm through masturbation, this will help you last longer while you’re with them.
7. Stay Calm
Sometimes, you might not have PE, but the excitement of meeting with your partner could make you ejaculate pretty fast. Another thing is the fear of not lasting long. If you’ve had an issue with PE before it might make you more anxious to have sex. These emotions will do you no good and whether or not you’ve been trying other methods of lasting long, you will end up ejaculating faster than you can say “jackpot”.
The best thing to do is to stay calm and take things slowly.
